its a hidden gem over shadowed by Aspen no lines but slow lifts
cheap lift tickets, seriously steep glades, no lines
slow lifts, on the smaller side

We loved this mountain after skiing at the mega resorts. It was a great change of pace and we enjoyed it more. The only thing I wish is that the lifts had a safety bar and footrest. I don't mind that they are old and slow but snowboarding its a long ride with your board hanging, and I'd like my kids to have something to hold onto in the wind.
No lines, reasonable prices and powder
no safety bar, foot rest on lifts

Just great all around! I have always found it weird though how you can be on a green trail one second, one wrong turn and your on an extreme double black diamond! But I doubt that many have made that mistake...
nice and cheap! Also very few lines
lifts are a little old but I don't mind

Sunlight is a basic ski focused mountain. What I mean is that fanciness holds no water at Sunlight. No one cares what vehicle you drive, what brand coat you are wearing, how expensive the drink is after you finish your day, etc. Skiing is what matters at Sunlight. That is how it is supposed to be. The East Bench has some outstanding expert runs that are both steep, tight, and glade skiing as well. Forget Sunlight if you want to bring attention to yourself. Head straight for Sunlight if you just want a GREAT ski experience.
Family friendly, reasonable cost, down to earth atmosphere
older style chairlifts with bar in the middle to access the upper mountain
jerome powell
repair shop jumped right on my wax job and assisted in resetting the Binding to boot-size correctly. Always find trail grooming at it's best, very friendly Staff, good Ski Patrol as my wife needed help past 3-22-19 with knee injury, Love the Lodge's ski-in, ski-out arrangement, As a visitor from North Carolina, we find Sunlight our favorite Colorado Ski Resort
gromming, width of trails, height of chairs,no crowds, pricing
lack of costly 'high-speed' lifts

Sunlight mountain ski rental employees are a joke and I’m professional. Rent from blue sky down in Glenwood before you come up to the mountain.

Just want to warn everyone that there's a thief on the mountain, so make sure your watching your stuff close! I had my dragon alliance googles stole off my helmet in front of the bar, no less than 5 min I walked away to get a drink. And when I asked guest services to help with the video feed, "cause they were stole directly in front of a camera" they told me they were to busy and to leave my number to which I never received a call back. I'm a local multi year season pass owner and to be dismissed as if the situation were nothing is a bit insulting. I'm disappointed in your guest service to locals sunlight, how are you supposed to attract repeat tourism if you can't help your locals? Just watch your stuff when you go it's not to be trusted anymore unfortunately.

Fully enjoyed my first day at sunlight. I brought two beginners with, they also had a blast. I was able to send it while they learned how to ski. This mtn has everything you are looking for, and for a price you can’t beat.
Affordable
