This is my favorite SW Michigan hill. It's less crowded than nearby Bittersweet and the terrain is more varied, especially when the entire hill is open. The staff is very friendly and ski patrol can be easily located. The base area is very spread out. Coming the right side of the hill makes for a VERY long walk back to the lodge. This is my least favorite lodge of all the lodges I have been in. It's incredibly awkwardly laid out and requires a lot of walking and climbing in ski boots.
It has a nice fireplace and a slightly larger than average ski hill menu, but you're going to work to get to them.
