OnTheSnow.com’s visitors and app users have rated Big Sky Resort as the top overall ski resort in North America in its annual Visitors’ Choice Awards for the 2024-2025 ski season. OnTheSnow users rate and review the resorts they visit for characteristics such as terrain, après-ski, family-friendly amenities, terrain parks, and more. Big Sky came out on top as the Best Overall Resort.

“We are deeply honored to be recognized as OnTheSnow’s 2025 Best Overall Ski Resort,” said Troy Nedved, president and COO of Big Sky Resort. “When we unveiled our Big Sky 2025 vision nine years ago, it represented an ambitious roadmap to elevate us into the realm of world-class destinations. The recognition from our guests validates that our unprecedented investment—one of North America’s most ambitious capital plans—has truly transformed the resort experience.”

About Big Sky

Big Sky is comprised of more than 300 trails spread over a sprawling 5,850 acres of terrain and boasts an incredible 4,350 feet of vertical. Skiers and snowboarders will find it all here, from long, winding groomers to wide-open bowls to bucket list worthy drops. The ski resort is unique in that it has a 50/50 split between beginner-intermediate and advanced terrain. It’s also home to five terrain parks, featuring everything from big jumps to fun boxes to bump terrain to half pipes.

Big Sky has 40 lifts and is building America’s most advanced lift network. Its new tram, Lone Peak Tram, travels to the top of the summit, offering an unmatched ski experience and stunning 360-degree views, including views of three states, two national parks, and millions of acres of wilderness.
