I have been skiing a few years now and live on the East Coast. We try to plan at least one trip a year out West for real skiing. My kids went without me last year, but told me I should really make the trip. I’m very happy I did. I had some anxiety the first day because although I ski I didn’t sleep much the night before and got nervous on the first slope. Dan, one of the resort ski host calmed my nerves and stayed with me for hours! He showed me around the slope trails, gave me tips, as well as history of the resort. Fantastic guy! Our last day I took a lesson with Sean. He was also wonderful! I was grouped with two teens, but Sean gave me different instruction to help me improve my skill set on the slopes, have more control, and build confidence. If you can swing the cost, go to Power Mountain the staff is the best I have ever experienced and the trails are fantastic too.
